Why is now a good time to consider home renovation?

From this month of January 2022, the most important public aid of recent times is activated, aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens and energy savings through the rehabilitation of housing. These are the main aids in this regard:

• – Subsidies for the Improvement of Energy Efficiency in Private Homes
  • When? First fortnight of February.
  • How many? 40% of the investment with a maximum limit of €3,000 per home.
  • For whom? For individuals.
  • Objective: Small actions that lead to energy savings in the home of at least 7%.

• Subsidies for the Improvement of Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Single-Family Homes
  • When? First fortnight of February.
  • How many? €18,800 per dwelling.
  • For whom? For individuals and neighborhood communities.
  • Objective: Reforms focused on changing the envelopes of buildings or single-family homes that result in energy savings of at least 30%. If elements with asbestos are also removed, the subsidy could be increased by an additional €12,000.

• Subsidies for Improving the Energy Efficiency of Buildings and Single-Family Homes in Municipalities with less than 5,000 Inhabitants.
  • When? From January 3 to September 30.
  • How many? It depends on the effectiveness of the reform.
  • For whom? For individuals and neighborhood communities in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants.
  • Objective: Improve consumption by at least 30% compared to the current situation or improve one letter in the energy rating by changing roofs, enclosures, lights, heating and air conditioning installations, etc.

• Subsidies for Rehabilitation of Homes Located in the ARI (Integral Rehabilitation Areas).
  • When? From February 1 to September 30.
  • How many? Up to €25,000 per home.
  • For whom? For individuals with properties in the ARIs of Camiño de Santiago, Illas Atlánticas National Park and Ribeira Sacra.
  • Objective: Rehabilitation of houses in said areas.

• Subsidies for the Rehabilitation of Public Protection Housing.
  • When? From January 3 to April 4.
  • How many? Variable.
  • For whom? For neighborhood communities of public protection housing
  • Objective: Repair and adaptation of public protection buildings.

• Subsidies for the Rehabilitation of Substandard Housing in Municipalities with less than 10,000 Inhabitants.
  • When? First fortnight of February.
  • How many? 95% of the investment, with a maximum limit of €15,000.
  • For whom? For individuals with economic difficulties.
  • Objective: To provide basic services to homes that are particularly deteriorated in municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants.

• Loans for Rehabilitations in Individuals and Neighborhood Communities.
  • When? Second fortnight of February.
  • How many? Covers up to 100% of interest for 48 months.
  • For whom? For individuals and Neighborhood Communities.
  • Objective: Rehabilitation works carried out by individuals and neighborhood communities.
